February Mosaic

Here is the mosaic of the photos for this month.  Two months down, ten to go!

I have been wanting to get a shot of this sign for a long time.  I reminds me of my deer-hunting granddaddy.

The photo from January 6 was framed today -- I really like this photo a lot.

Is spring just around the corner?  It is hard to believe it is almost March!  This photo was taken with my Lensbaby.

We love Bananagrams at our house!

This morning we had a heavy snow flurry.  I headed over to the wetland area to see if any good shots could be had.  One of the photos I liked best from today had no snow features to speak of.  The poison ivy vine on a pine tree shows a bit of moisture drops -- but no real snow.  The best thing here is the hairy old vine clinging to the tree trunk.

For those of you who have been expressing interest in the Lensbaby -- I have added a clickable photo on the sidebar.  This will take you to the Lensbaby website and the latest products.  Take a peek around their site to see other photos and the lenses.  I love mine -- and I love the creative aperture disc set,

Poor little mitten left behind in the parking lot.  I saw it -- and did not have my camera with me.
This is a first -- a shot from the Treo.  The color is what it is -- I did not desaturate or convert to b&w.

Sadie loves yogurt -- Greek is her favorite.  It was so warm today (67 right now) she got a bath and then a treat.  She only gets to lick the container after I have the yogurt.  She seemed to like peach -- but I think she likes blueberry best of all.

The daylilies are showing themselves.  Tuesday I saw an anole outside.  Spring is on the way!

Today I was meeting with the owner of Dogwood Gallery and Framer in Tyrone, Georgia about the upcoming photography exhibit/sale, Nature Undisturbed. He asked me to bring my camera to take a couple shots of his latest creation. This work is inspired by Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment.

More tea to help kick this cold!

I have a horrible head cold -- I hate colds!

After the reception on Saturday night for Puppy Love in Zebulon -- I wanted to take a nice close up of Sadie.

Up early this morning to get some shots before the trees melted too much. This was taken with the Lensbaby using the heart aperture.

I love what a Lensbaby does to snow.

After sitting here for a minute then getting out to shoot a few photos -- I made a U-turn to finally get were I was going. When I was heading back home -- the train had left.

One of my favorite subjects -- looking not so grumpy today.

While waiting for the light to change -- I took a photo.

Ok, so you have seen this cake plate lid twice already...believe me, you will see it again.

Looking in the windows.

The crowd enters for Friday night's performance.

A couple days ago I had a shallow depth of field photo of this plate. Last night I shot this photo of it in action. Here we have my photo from February 4 -- my daughter the plate. Opening night of Beauty and the Beast -- encore performance tonight!
