Iris made an escape attempt yesterday - here she is snoozing under the table like nothing ever happened.

Running errands in Peachtree City today -- I loved the clouds in the sky.

The old courthouse in Fayetteville (Georgia) -- the middle of town.

Black-Eyed Susan blooming by the garage door.

Iris and Sadie in the pool at the Peachtree City dog park.

While on the deck -- grilling in the heat this evening -- a little Green Hill cheese from Sweet Grass Dairy helped cool things down.  And yes, this is a Lensbaby image.

Chicken, tomatoes, avocado, cheese.  Answer to the question of what's for dinner when it is very hot outside!

I have been thinking for a while that Sadie needed a playmate.  Early Friday morning we headed to our local animal shelter and found Iris.  Well, she had no name -- but we think she looks like an Iris.  Sadie is thrilled and wants to play -- Iris is still trying to figure out who the heck we are!

Today was my grandmother's birthday.  Even though we lost her a few years ago -- I think about her often.

The little silver looking thing ran when I blew slightly on this.  I think it killed the black and yellow agriope spider that I had been watching for the past few weeks.  The blob out of focus is the skeleton of the spider -- it looks like it had just shed prior to being killed.

Today I am pumping gas and look across the street -- this is what I see.  I liked the row of different chairs.

This is in the corner of my living room.  I see the shadows on the wall often and have taken many photos of it. This is not exactly what I am looking for -- but it is getting close.

I went out for a drive this morning with no idea of what I would find.  What I did find was a very interesting old roadside cemetery.

I love this vine -- during the summer I take a lot of photos of it as it grows and climbs on the deck steps and railing.

197:365

Driving out of a parking lot yesterday I saw the back of this building.

A glass of tea in front of the window.

Spent a little time at the Serenbe Photography Center yesterday afternoon.  On the way back to the car I was distracted by this reflection.

Today I spent some time printing a few of the 365 project photos.

Can you tell I am holding a tennis ball?  I wanted to get her very intense, chase-the-ball face.

Thank goodness we got some rain!  On the way home from Zebulon, we were at the opening reception at A Novel Experience for the Visions of Old Glory show.  If you are in the area -- it is a great collection of photos.

Virginia shelling peas from our weekly CSA (community supported agriculture) box.  This week there were lots of goodies -- tomatoes, peppers, corn, squash and even a small watermelon!  Support local farms -- check for a CSA group in your area.

Can you say hot?  This was taken just after 7pm on the deck.

Found trying to sneak into the garage to cool off.

Blackberries from my CSA box are delicious.  The blackberries that grow in my yard are tiresome weeds.

On the way home last night.  I like the look of lights at night, out of focus.

These ladies were in front of us briefly this morning -- they were having a great 4th!

Up and out early this morning -- a friend brought me to this place -- a beautiful old church building.
