Recently on a trip in to Fayetteville I noticed there were no cars on the parking lot at a local barbecue joint. It was before lunch and there was snow on the ground -- so I thought that could be it. Then I noticed it the next day and say the "Closed" sign at the door.
I never had any barbecue from Melear's -- a lot of people did go there (which is why the empty parking lot caught my eye). The building makes for nice photos.
It is always sad when a popular place closed. Lovely picture.

I received word today that souvenir hunters have taken down the sign. Good thing I got my photos when I did.

Nice photo. Either too much competition or people cut back on spending. A real shame.
